Many students believe that the entire answer sheet is re-evaluated during scrutiny; however, this is not the case. According to the rules of the Bihar Board, scrutiny focuses on the following three aspects:

1. If the marks for any page have not been included in the total, they will be added.
2. If the marks for any answer have been inadvertently omitted, the examiner will review it and assign the correct marks.
3. If the calculation (totaling) of marks is incorrect, it will be rectified.

Note : After the review, your marks may increase, decrease, or remain the same.

The Bihar Board charges a separate fee for the evaluation of each subject.

• Fee: ₹120 per subject (Approximately).
• If you apply for 2 subjects, you will have to pay ₹240.

Multiple Subjects: You may apply for the scrutiny (re-examination) of one or all of your subjects, according to your preference.

Maintain Confidence: Apply for scrutiny only if you are absolutely certain that your marks have indeed been undervalued.

Compartment Examination: For students who have failed in one or two subjects, forms for the compartment examination will also be available for submission starting April 1st.

If you wish to apply online, please follow the steps outlined below:

1. First, navigate to the ‘Link Section’ of this post; here, you will find links to the official websites.
2. Visit the Website: Go to the official Bihar Board website at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.
3. Scrutiny Link: On the homepage, click on the link titled “Apply for Scrutiny (Secondary Annual Examination 2026).”
4. Registration: Enter your Roll Code and Roll Number. Upon doing so, you will receive an Application ID.
5. Log In: Log in using the Application ID you received and your Roll Number.
6. Select Subjects: A list of all subjects will appear before you. Click on the checkboxes corresponding to the subjects you wish to have re-checked (scrutinized).
7. Pay the Fee: Pay the prescribed fee for each subject (approximately ₹120) online using a Debit Card or UPI.
8. Submit: Finally, submit the form and take a printout of the acknowledgment receipt.
