TRE 4.0 Bihar Teacher Recruitment 2026: Total Posts & Details

• Senior Secondary (12th) pass with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
• Senior Secondary (12th) with 45% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed., as per NCTE Guidelines 2002
• Senior Secondary (12th) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) 
• Senior Secondary (12th) with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)
• Graduate degree in any stream and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Middle School Teacher for 6 to 8 

• Graduation degree in any subject with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed qualification
• Bachelor’s degree with a B.Ed. with 45% marks, as required by NCTE guidelines
• Graduation (50% marks) with a BA-B.Ed. or B.Sc-B.Ed. integrated course

• Graduation or post-graduation degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks, plus a B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
• Graduation/post-graduation in a relevant subject with 45% marks (accredited as per NCTE 2002 standards) and a B.Ed. qualification.
• Successful completion of a 4-year integrated course such as BA-B.Ed. or B.Sc-B.Ed.

PGT Teacher for 11 to 12 

• A postgraduate degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks, along with a B.Ed. degree, is required.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant subject with 45% marks (as prescribed in the NCTE 2002 standards) and a B.Ed. qualification.
• A postgraduate degree in a relevant subject with a 4-year integrated course, such as a BA-B.Ed. or B.Sc-B.Ed.
• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks and successfully completed a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.

Q1. Can a candidate apply for both Primary and TGT?

Ans: If the candidate qualifies for both posts and clears the required TET/STET, the option to apply for multiple levels was given in previous recruitments; the final rules are confirmed after the notification.

Q2. Is there negative marking in the BPSC TRE exam?

Ans: There was no negative marking in previous TRE exams; it is expected that there will be no negative marking in TRE 4.0 as well.

Q3. Can I apply if the TET/STET certificate has not been issued yet?

Answer: Certificate number and details are mandatory, so valid proof is required to clear the result.

Q4. Can candidates from outside Bihar apply for TRE 4.0?

Ans: Yes, as per previous recruitments, eligible candidates from outside Bihar could also apply, but reservation benefits are available only to Bihar domiciles.

Q5. Can I fill out the form for more than one subject?
